About Me

Hello and welcome to my blog!

My name is Mallory Sajewski, and I am a music librarian with experience working in both academic and performing ensemble libraries. I recently completed a dual graduate program at Kent State University, where I received a Master of Music degree in oboe performance and a Master of Library and Information Science degree. While completing my degrees, I worked in the music libraries at Kent State University, the Interlochen Center for the Arts, and the John Mack Oboe Camp.

I began this blog after my first year of graduate school to share my experience working as an ensemble librarian at Interlochen. Since then, it has expanded to include other aspects of my life as an ensemble librarian, academic music librarian, and musician. I hope that this blog will help and/or entertain those considering music librarianship as a career as well as those simply wanting to learn more about what really goes on behind the scenes.

Feel free to email me (mallorysajewski (@) gmail (dot) com) with any questions or comments. I’d love to hear from you!
